How to help a small business in difficult times
Hi, thanks for taking the time to find out how to contact us directly. A lot of people are aware that booking sites like Booking.com and Wotif take a commission on bookings. Honestly, we don't mind that they do. They provide a valuable comparison tool, and help you make an informed decision, and as you might have seen, we rank pretty well on those sites and get a lot of business from them. So I don't mind paying a commission. Yeah, it hurts when the bill comes in at the end of the month, but that is the only advertising we do, so it's not so bad.
That said we really appreciate direct bookings. The extra 12% makes a difference.

The reason for that is simple. We are a small business and we don't have a full time reservations team. So the person who answers the phone is also the person who is cleaning rooms, and doing reception duties, and watering the gardens, and helping guests with the hiking plans, and everything else that goes into keeping a motel running smoothly.
So a booking that just magically appears in our reservations system is a blessing. It's one less thing we need to do in person.
Of course, if you have questions that aren't answered by the info on this website, or you have a complex booking that is hard to do online, we are more than happy to take your call and help as much as we can.
But if it's simple one, and you can book online, please do, we really appreciate it. And if there is something you want us to know, just pop a note in the box that says "Any personal requests?"
